$10 Friday Round 2 | Bedding for IL Youth

Welcome to our second $10 Friday!  Each week we will be asking for donations – just $10 – to help the kids in our programs. We know that if our partners and donors work as a team this can amount to something amazing for our kids.

For the month of June we will be dedicating our $10 friday asks our indpendent living program needs. Each youth placed in this program is given a fully furnished apartment with new items they will need as they work towards their independence. We love to make it welcoming and exciting for them as they start this journey! While in this program kids ages 17-21 will work with their caseworker and peers to learn crucial life skills needed as they leave foster care.

Our need for placement goods to furnish their apartments is quite large at this time! Next week we have 5 moves scheduled, which means 5 new kids will be entering our program.

Here is where we need your help – we have an extensive list of placement goods for each apartment. Today we are asking for $10 to help us purchase bed sets.  You can donate easily online by clicking here.

If you have questions please contact Ashley Pester, Development Director at 937-264-0084 ext. 122 or apester@choicesfostercare.com.

We know that some of you like to purchase actual items – and we’ve made that process easier.  We have created an Amazon Wishlist of many of the items we need for each apartment. You can shop and have the items shipped directly to our office – easy peasy! The shower curtains are right around $10.

Thank you for your support in making our first $10 Friday a success – we will be back next week with another need for our independent living kids!
