Annual Coat Drive | Help Foster Teens and HBS Families

Our holiday outreach starts every year with our annual coat drive!! We match sponsors to coat requests from our transitional age teens and home-based services families.  How can you help?

  • Email Ashley at apester@choicesfostercare.com to receive the coat details for one of our teens or kids.
  • Purchase the coat and return to our office by November 5 (online shopping and shipping to our office is an option too)
  • No time to shop?  Donate easily online by clicking here.

How this helps our teens and families-

Teens in our independent living and bridges programs are living on their own while learning independent living skills needed to transition to adulthood. While they are working and learning to budget, their funds are limited. They also rely on the bus line as their primary means of transportation. Your donation of a good quality coat helps keep them warm.

Our home-based services program provides mental health services to children in the Miami Valley. We are one of the few Medicaid providers that does in home therapy.  The families we work with often have a limited budget. Providing growing kids a new winter coat can sometimes result in missed meals. Our coat drive provides new coats to the family we are serving – which keeps them warm and hopefully means they can enjoy building a snowman later this year too!

This program is 100% donor funded, we are so grateful for each and every one of you! If you have questions please email Ashley at apester@choicesfosterare.com or call 937-264-0084 ext. 122.

Please note that we are only able to serve youth and families who are a part of our current programs. We understand that many families in our community have needs. If you are looking for a coat and are not a part of our programs we recommend you contact a local clothing pantry.
