This quarter we would like to recognize Sarah Locker for Living the Mission of CHOICES. Sarah excels in her licensing role and is an all around SACWIS genius. She also gives 100% to help other programs and employees in the agency.
Sarah has an incredible amount of knowledge regarding foster care rules and policies. She knows that CHOICES thrives on teamwork and she is a leading example in working outside her department to help others. She is always a smiling face in the office and also the first one to jump up and help load and unload placement goods or donations during the holidays.
Sarah is invaluable to the licensing and training department. She works hard to maintain all foster parent files, locate and secure recruiting events and takes the lead to train other workers in her department. Her attention to detail is evidenced by her knowledge of SACWIS and impeccably written home studies.
Sarah’s belief in the CHOICES mission can be seen in her work licensing new parents and also getting others involved helping CHOICES youth and families. This is especially beneficial at recruiting events and more importantly to provide hope for our youth. She is quick to share updates and needs on her own facebook page. Sarah realizes it is the everyday opportunity that makes a difference for our kids – so much so she devoted her upcoming birthday to raising money to fund opportunities for CHOICES youth. Sarah is dedicated to this agency as a whole; and more than willing to offer her talents to any program for support. She has often come up with solutions to challenges in independent living and worked tirelessly to help organize many aspects of the Christmas party and summer activities.
It is our pleasure to recognize Sarah for her hard work and dedication to our families. We couldn’t think of a better person to educate and grow our foster parents into caregivers for children who need a whole lot of love! Sarah makes being in the office fun and we thank her for her dedication to our mission. (and for the constant banter with our independent living teamJ)
