This quarter we would like to recognize Tina Miller for Living the Mission of CHOICES. Tina is best described as the glue that holds the office together on a day to day basis. She naturally greets everyone with a smile no matter what is going on in her office at the time.
The truth is Tina has a lot going on! Making sure staff and foster parents get paid, counties get invoiced, bills for days…practically everything in the office comes across her desk. We all go to her frantically with needs for our kids and families and she is ALWAYS willing to help. She even kills the spiders – and that is pretty big deal.
Tina lives the mission of CHOICES because she is a true team player. We keep her busy enough with all of our “emergencies” but she is more than willing to help each department anyway she can. She loves to help at foster care events with the kids. Tina took on the monumental task of purchasing and organizing independent living placement goods this year. She is quick to help with anything donation related. Tina has even been described as an “undercover social worker” because of the level of caring she has for CHOICES and the kids we serve.
Tina’s day to day work does not go unnoticed. Her attention to detail is phenomenal and no one can multi-task like she does. When she takes time off (which is not often enough) there is an empty feeling in the office. She is appreciated by all of the CHOICES staff! We love her amazing ideas, positive attitude, willing to help with anything and her personal investment with every staff member.
New employees are quick to learn that Tina can troubleshoot almost any problem they are facing. We know that doesn’t go without a lot of extra work on her end. In summary we think she could probably win this award every quarter because she is so consistent with living the CHOICES mission!
