We love to see foster youth try new things especially when they are excited about the opportunity! Robert is 10 years old and has been in foster care with CHOICES since September. He has remained in the same home with a caring foster parent.
Robert is playing baseball this spring and his enthusiasm is contagious! Part of that reason is because his Dad and Uncle both played. He is new to the sport and has started practice, but needs some of the essentials when it comes to equipment. We are looking for a few donors to help cover the cost of a glove for Robert and baseball cleats.
We would like to raise $75 to help Robert with the baseball essentials! His county agency has paid for the team fee and his foster mom has purchased him a couple pairs of baseball pants. Will you help Robert be an all-star on the field? Donate easily online by clicking here.
Robert is already talking about how many catches he had at practice and the drills they are doing! At school he loves reading and art. He tries to go above and beyond, he is the kid willing to help with anything asked of him. He does has had some struggles developing relationships with his peers, so baseball has been helping him develop friendships. The sport has allowed for him to interact with kids who have similar interests.
Thank you for your interest in helping Robert! If we are able to raise over $75 we will surprise him with a bat to practice at his foster home. If you have questions please contact Ashley Pester, Development Director, at apester@choicesfostercare.com or (513) 659-8202.
