The senior year of high school across America is exciting for many students. There is a focus on fun as youth approach this rite of passage. There will be class rings, senior pictures, prom, award ceremonies, scholarship news, college acceptance letters and so much more!
For youth in foster care it can be overwhelming, as many are not always sure where they will live following graduation. How are they going to navigate college applications and moving? Who will pay for all of the extras?
The CHOICES family is committed to relieving their anxiety and providing the opportunity to experience their senior year just like any other student. It is only with your help that we are able to do this, and we’re starting off by helping our seniors connect with a photographer for their senior pictures.
We’re sending a call out there to all photographers across Southwest Ohio. We have youth in many communities from Springfield to Dayton and many in the Cincinnati area too! If you are photographer willing to donate your time and talent to providing senior pictures to our youth we would love to work with you!

Because of the nature of foster care there are some restrictions, any photos you take cannot be posted on social media, your website (unless in a password protected album) or used in a portfolio etc. This is due to the confidentiality of youth in our programs.
In the past we have had photographers donate a variety of “packages” for our kids. At minimum we ask that you provide a mini session with the rights to print at least 5 of the images. We have had others do more and sometimes include a few wallets or prints. In exchange for your kindness we would recognize your business on our social media platforms. Also, you will receive a tax deduction letter for any goods or services provided.
We would love to hear from you if you are interested, and we can explain more about how the process works in getting a session arranged. It is with your gratitude and kindness we will be able to make our seniors of 2018 feel special this school year!
