Miguel is a 14 year old boy in one of our foster homes who has struggled in school due to his behaviors. He has had many challenges in a regular school setting.
This year Miguel has started the South Community YPH Program, where he is rated each day according to his behavior, participation and other measures. At the beginning of September, Miguel received a perfect score in both therapeautic and academic portions of his school day. This is a huge accomplishment for Miguel.
His foster mom says that when she picks him up he is interacting with his peers, and his teachers report a steady improvement in all areas. Change has to start somewhere, and we are glad to see that Miguel is improving with each passing day.
