We have an incredible story to share with you this morning about a foster youth. Devon has set his goals high and is on the pathway to success; the CHOICES family couldn’t be happier for him!
Devon is a Junior at CTC in Springfield, studying to become a Medical Assistant. He recently was elected President of the Junior Medical Assistant class. It is clear that Devon has excellent leadership skills, he is 18 and chose to stay in care; knowing that he would have a better support system to graduate high school. He would like to become a surgeon and is looking into The Ohio State University or Wright State University when he graduates.
Focusing on school can be challenging for many teens, especially foster youth, and we congratulate Devon for going above and beyond. He also will start his first job today, serving tables at a local restaurant.
Devon is a great example to all foster youth, with enough drive and dedication you can achieve so much in a short time!
