We have something great to share with all of you! If you didn’t know 78% of the cost for 15 kids to attend Camp Joy was paid by donor support. That is pretty fantastic!
Here is a special follow up, with more to come…two of our foster kids wrote you all a thank you note. You can see their heartfelt words above, but to be sure you get to read it all we have it typed out below.
To Whom it May Concern:
I would like to really thank you for letting me participate in Camp Joy’s program. I had lots and lots of fun and at first I really didn’t want to go, but when I went I enjoyed it so much. It would be a pleasure to go again next summer, but it was an amazing experience and I want to thank you a lot because I did have lots of fun and I really miss Camp Joy. I learned a lot of new things and I met a lot of new friends. I think that being able to go to a camp with lots of other kids that understand your situation is an amazing thing. I am so thankful because a lot of other kids probably wish they could go to camp and I am thankful you let me have an opportunity to go. The counselors were awesome and fun and everyone liked me for who I am. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Thank you sooooo much and I hope I get to go next summer. Thank you a lot and you gave me a life changing experience. You made my summer a great summer.
