Happy July and welcome to our first $10 Friday of this month! We like to provide a small gift to our foster youth for their birthdays. It is easy to pick out a toy or game for our young kids from our resource area. For kids 12 and older it is a bit more tricky, but they do love gift cards!
While a $10 gift card isn’t much it does allow for them to pick out something small at a retailer or enjoy a fast food meal or two. The independence to spend the funds how they want is much appreciated by our kids – and not something they get to do often.
The birthday gift card stash is running low – and we have 8 birthdays for our teens over the next few months! For this $10 Friday we are hoping many of you will come together to help us raise $80 to restock our birthday gift cards.
