This month our call to action is near and dear to our heart. Your donations TRULY help youth immediately upon being placed in a new foster home. It helps them feel seen, and often helps to build the foster parent and youth relationship.
Many times kids come into care with minimal personal belongings. So many times foster parents are rushing out day or night of placement to get essentials like clothing, shoes, underwear, hygiene items etc. Your donations help us provide them with $100 to go towards these items for every new child that enters their home.
“This was so helpful for my family! The kids arrived with very few clothes and no hair care items. I used the money for pajamas and warm school clothes, along with some shampoo and detangler products that is made for their hair texture. They are excited to have new clothes to wear that were picked out just for them!”
“Such a huge help for an infant who came in the middle of the night with only and bottle and the clothes they were wearing. Thank you so much!”
“M had a great time looking for some special outfits (coordinating down to the shoes!) for the first few days of school! This was a wonderful way for our family to bond with M, and for us to learn all about his fashion sense! M is starting a new school this year, and I know he is nervous, so having these new outfits will give him the extra confidence he needs to start the year off right!”

“Both girls loved that they got to pick out things they wanted. Youth 1 was over the moon that she got to pick out a pair of big fluffy slippers that look dinosaur feet. Youth 2 excited to have Frozen shoes. She shows everyone her Elsa shoes.”
“They were so excited about picking out their new shoes, they wanted to wear them out of the store so we did! Our oldest said he was sure they would make him run faster.”

This fund has an amazing impact on our kids and families. Yes, parents do receive clothing vouchers from county agencies, but it can take several weeks until those are in their hands. Your donation helps alleviate a portion of the large cost for essential items for newly placed kiddos!
