George is a 5 year old boy in our home-based services program. He is receiving in-home counseling and has been making progress towards his goals. Previously he struggled to follow rules and control his emotions. George often had emotional outbursts and poor social skills.
We are happy to report that he has learned how to communicate his emotions in a healthy manner. His family has also learned how to properly redirect him during times of anger. Both of these things are a step in the right direction for George.
George has expressed an interest in playing football, and his caseworker feels it is appropriate for him to explore. Through the sport George will further expand his social skills, he will learn how to appropriately control behaviors and he will be part of a team working towards a goal together. George still struggles with hyperactivity, and being able to play a sport will help with his skill building to control his energy.
Can you help us fund George’s football camp and pay to play fee for this upcoming fall? Mom is putting money towards the cost and making sure he has the proper equipment. George needs an additional $100 to turn in his application to play, let’s make it happen! You can donate easily online by clicking here.
He is a sweet kid who loves to help his mom and brother who is autistic. He especially likes to be outside with his brother exploring nature. He also likes to swim, practice karate from movies, and do educational worksheets. George is very smart and towards the end of last year made big progress making friends at school.
The opportunity for George to participate in camp and football will benefit him to control his bursts of energy and continue to better his social skills. Questions? Contact Ashley Pester at apester@choicesfostercare.com or 937-264-0084 ext. 122.
