UPDATE: Wow in just a few hours last night we received MANY volunteers to offer their services. We are so happy to help Megan, and many of you offered to help other kids in a variety of ways! All the information will go to Megan’s caseworker and hopefully we can work next week to make a decision. Thank you a million times over for reaching out. This is proof that the Miami Valley has a big heart!
We are in search of a local photographer, in the Dayton area, who would be willing to donate their talents and time to help one of our foster youth with senior pictures.
Youth in foster care often go without the milestones of senior year, whether it is senior pictures, class rings, graduation parties and the list goes on. CHOICES is dedicated to helping them experience it all by saying #Yes2ourKids.
We are hoping a photographer will step forward to help Megan with the missing piece of senior pictures. Megan has been in care with us for almost 9 years, she is a great young lady that has achieved so much. Originally from Darke county she has adjusted well to her foster home and school.
Megan has participated in Orchestra and just recently made Symphony. She works very hard to maintain good grades. Her plans after High School include going to Sinclair for two years and transferring to Wright State University to major in Criminal Justice. Megan was recently accepted to Camp Joy’s Counselor in Training Program this summer. This is perfect for her because she is a positive role model for other foster youth who need someone to look up for.
